Day by day
Day 1
Islamabad → Jaglot, over the roof of Kaghan
Away before dawn, brunch in Naran, prayer flags at Babusar Top (4,173 m), then down the Indus gorge to Jaglot — where the Karakoram, Himalaya and Hindu Kush meet.
Day 2
Jaglot → Skardu, the valley opens
Nanga Parbat at breakfast. The Skardu road clings to the Indus for four wild hours before Baltistan opens wide. Sunset at Kachura Lake.
Day 3
Shigar Fort & a Balti family dinner
Morning in Shigar's 400-year-old fort, afternoon in its orchard lanes, and dinner cooked by a local Balti family in a centuries-old house.
Day 4
Katpana Desert — dunes & the Milky Way
Laze at Upper Kachura, then out to the cold desert. Fire on the dunes, telescopes out, the galaxy overhead.
Day 5
Stories by the Fire
Free day for Sadpara Lake or the Deosai edge, then the evening that gives this trip its soul — Haji Ibrahim's storytelling night.
Day 6
Skardu → Chilas
One long look back at the valley, then down the gorge with a golden-hour stop at Nanga Parbat's viewpoint.
Day 7
Chilas → Islamabad
Over Babusar one last time — this time you know what's on the other side.
